Leyland Rally, 25-26th June

1. Ian Jaycock's impressive 2-8-0 Buffalo to Martin Evan's design looks ready to go, at the Northern Association's Diamond Jubilee Rally held at the Worden Park tracksite of the Leyland Society of Model Engineers over the weekend of 25-26th June 2005.  Easy to forget it's only 3½" gauge.  Ian hails from Peterborough

2. Chairman John Barr of the host club checks the water level on the latest addition to his collection, a very nicely made LNER A4  'Seagull'.  Before long it was flying around the track.  (Bad joke, I know, John does them much better! Ed)

3. A doubled up LBSC Dyak was the basis for Roger James' Freelance 2-6-0, but with a Thompson-type boiler and cab.  Roger travelled up from NW Leicester (Coalville) for the occasion.

4. Gavin Nicholson of the host club prepares his well-used Polly.
